Thinking out of the box … You know the definition of insanity – doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results. Try – pausing to reflect and consider alternative ways of doing things; experimenting with other avenues and approaches; and reaching out to others (old and new contacts) have proven to be successful.
Working Smarter … Do you assess issues and problems as they arise before jumping to conclusions and solutions? Do you set goals and then focus on them? Do you prioritize your tasks and actions? Do you consider the difference between activity and results? Do you feel like you’re on a treadmill? Do you involve others or try going it alone? Are you learning and applying new skills?
Using Common Sense … Einstein admitted that `he “wasn’t so smart” but said he just “stayed with problems longer”. This is practical advice to be persistent. Try applying such `common sense’ to all that you do.
